Objects of the respective target systems, such as documents, attachments, information resources, etc., are accessed via native references. The advantage of this is that references created by native APIs can still be used in EBIS. This means that references for these systems must be valid to enable using objects in target systems. For example, a search returns native references for the respective objects of the target systems.
